Alfred Hayes

Alfred Hayes was a British-American screenwriter, novelist, and poet who worked in both the United States and Italy. His career spanned film, television, and literature, and he is widely recognized for writing the poem Joe Hill. This work was later set to music and performed by numerous prominent artists, including Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, and Paul Robeson.
