Carl Linnaeus

Carl Linnaeus was a Swedish botanist recognized as the father of modern taxonomy. His legacy is reflected in numerous international scientific organizations that bear his name, including the Linnean Society of London. He was the father of Carolus Linnaeus the Younger.
