Chris Burden

Christopher Lee Burden was an American artist recognized for his contributions to performance art, sculpture, and installation art. He gained significant attention in the 1970s for provocative performance pieces, most notably Shoot. Throughout his career, he remained a prolific creator of public artworks and large-scale installations until his death in 2015.
