Edward Curtis

Edward Sheriff Curtis was an American photographer and ethnologist known for his extensive documentation of the American West and Native American cultures. Between 1868 and 1952, he traveled across the United States to record the traditions and ways of life of various tribes. His comprehensive body of work includes both photography and audio recordings, earning him the nickname Shadow Catcher for his dedication to preserving indigenous history.
