Jackson Lears

T. J. Jackson Lears is an American cultural and intellectual historian born in 1947. His academic interests encompass comparative religious history, literature, the visual arts, and folklore. He has been a faculty member at Rutgers University since 1986, where he currently serves as the Board of Governors Distinguished Professor of History.
