Jeffrey B. Russell

Jeffrey Burton Russell (1934–2023) was an American historian and scholar of religious studies. His academic work focused primarily on the history of the Middle Ages and the history of theology. Throughout his career, he served as a university teacher, contributing extensively to the study of medieval European history and religious thought.
