John Gowlett

John Gowlett is an archaeologist and anthropologist currently serving as Professor of Archaeology and Evolutionary Anthropology at the University of Liverpool. He earned his doctorate from the University of Cambridge in 1979 and previously held the position of Senior Archaeologist to the Oxford Radiocarbon Accelerator from 1980 to 1987. He is a fellow of the British Academy, the Society of Antiquaries, and the Royal Anthropological Institute.
