Langdon Winner

Langdon Winner is an American academic and the Thomas Phelan Chair of Humanities and Social Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His research focuses on the intersection of science, technology, and society, as well as theories of sustainability and American popular culture. Before his academic career, Winner worked as a reporter and rock music critic, serving as a contributing editor for Rolling Stone magazine.
