Michaelangelo
Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni was an Italian sculptor, painter, architect, and poet of the High Renaissance. Born in the Republic of Florence, he was primarily active in Rome from his 30s onward. His work, which drew inspiration from classical antiquity, had a profound and lasting influence on Western art, establishing him as one of the most significant figures of the 16th century.
