Raymond Chandler

Raymond Chandler was an American-British novelist and screenwriter who turned to detective fiction in 1932. Following the 1933 publication of his first short story in Black Mask, he authored seven novels, including his 1939 debut, The Big Sleep. Most of his novels have been adapted into motion pictures.
