Stephen Mitchell

Stephen Mitchell (1948–2024) was a British historian and epigrapher who specialized in the study of Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine Anatolia. During his academic career, he served as a professor at both Swansea University and the University of Exeter. His extensive research focused on classical antiquity, ancient history, and the history of religions.
