William D. Middleton
William D. Middleton was an American journalist, writer, and photographer known for his extensive documentation of railroad history and operations. Over the course of his career, he published more than 20 books and approximately 700 articles, frequently illustrating his work with his own photography. His contributions to the field were recognized in a 2011 profile by Classic Trains magazine.
