Zaha Hadid

Zaha Hadid was an Iraqi and British architect, artist, and designer recognized as a key figure in late-20th and early-21st-century architecture. Born in Baghdad, she studied mathematics before enrolling at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in 1972. Influenced by Suprematism and the Russian avant-garde, she utilized painting and abstraction as design tools to explore new fields of building and reinterpret the experiments of Modernism.
